I headed down to Purley on the outskirts of London on a glorious spring day for the wedding of Tim and Jemma. The day started at The beautiful 1920’s built Maple House where the bridal party were getting ready.
We then headed over in convoy to Christ Church for the traditional Christian ceremony. The bride’s two younger sisters had both kept their husbands waiting for 45 minutes at their weddings but Jemma was determined to break the mould and only made Tim sweat it out for 10 minutes or so.
Once they’d officially been declared husband and wife, we grabbed a quick group shot outside the church before the newlyweds jumped into their perfectly restored, vintage Bullmon car. The rest of the congregation followed suit and headed over to the classy Surrey Downs golf course for the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening celebrations.
In between dinner we headed out onto the course in golf buggies to get quirky pictures, the groom driving his bride around attracted a lot of attention. After the speeches we were blessed with a spectacular sunset and some more great photo opportunities, before the couple and their guests danced the night away.
The couple really are taking a new start and new beginnings quite literally as they move to South Africa only a day after their honeymoon, I wish them both every happiness and success.
