The Slaughters Country Inn Wedding

Katerina and Duncan recently got married at The Slaughters Country Inn . A beautiful Cotswolds wedding venue. It is nestled right next to the banks of the River Eye. In the heart of one of Englands prettiest and most renowned fairytale villages, The Slaughters.

Katerina got ready for her big day at her parents beautiful house in another equally stunning and historic village, Northleach. It was such a joyful, peaceful household. Seeing how proud Katerina’s dad was when he first saw her in her stunning dress, brought a tear to my eye!

The Ceremony

They held their wedding ceremony in the family church, just up the road at St Peter & St Paul’s . It dates back to around the 13th century and is referred to as ‘The Cathedral of The Cotswolds’. An absolutely breathtaking place for a wedding ceremony!!

Katerina and Duncan amalgamated two ceremonies into one, with a traditional church of england ceremony first, followed by a traditional Cypriot ceremony with a crowning ceremony. After the ceremony and confetti, we captured some group photos.

The Reception

We then took the short drive back to The Slaughters Country inn. We walked around the stunning village and captured some lovely bridal portraits with the couples impressive wedding car. The drinks reception then followed in the glorious August sunshine, serenaded by an incredible jazz band. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day in every sense.

The couple opted for a beautiful marquee on the lawn of The Slaughters Country as the location for their wedding breakfast and speeches.

They then took the short walk back to the inn for the first dance and party.

Katerina and Duncan are two of the loveliest people I have met. It was written in the stars that they were to marry as they have been childhood sweethearts since school. Such a wonderful love story!
