I am so excited to be able to share Jo and Matt’s elegant Merriscourt wedding with you.
Jo and Matt got married at Merriscourt in the picturesque village of Chipping Norton. This venue is based on the Oxfordshire / Gloucestershire border, sitting on 500 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside.
Jo and her girls got ready in the beautiful Pump House just a few metres from where the ceremony would take place in the Stone Barn . One of the many things I love about Merriscourt is how the barns adjoin to one another. Their ceremony, wedding breakfast room and drink reception location all effortlessly flow through to one another. I do love a country barn conversion! The drinks reception was held in the walled courtyard which was also the perfect location for the group photos. There were many spectacular floral arrangements in accents of pink and white. Their wedding cake was made by The Pretty Cake Company.
April weddings are generally very unpredictable in the UK. The couple needn’t have worried as it was really unseasonably warm. It was somewhat overcast, which is actually great for skin tones and the ideal photography lighting!
The whole wedding party looked beautiful. The bridesmaids in pastel shades of blue and pink and the groom and groomsmen in sharp blue suits. Jo wore a flowing A-line gown and a full length veil, both with lace detail.
The party was awesome and everyone danced the night away to the amazing band. The Giggling Genie were also there. They provide very unique photobooth set ups which the guests loved.
It was an honour to have been asked to photograph their wedding day. I love everything about a Merriscourt Wedding. The location, the ambience, the surroundings, the intimacy of the barns.
They are a wonderful couple who I wish every happiness to in the future.
