My sister Hannah and her long term partner Edgar finally did what we’d all been praying for and tied the knot and my wedding gift to them was, you guessed it, a day’s wedding photography.
Other than a pretty major mishap with the flowers being entirely different from what was ordered, the day was absolutely perfect in every area from start to finish and I’m so proud of the amazing job Hannah did in planning every fine detail and making it such a classy event.
After getting all the prep shots of the bride and groom we took a short walk down the road to Holy Trinity church in Richmond for a beautiful, tradition Christian service and, once it had been made official, the couple danced down the aisle to ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ by Marvin Gaye to rapturous applause.
We then headed down to a really picturesque courtyard I’d used for a previous wedding by Richmond river to get some posed shots before jumping back in the Jag and over to the reception, held at the posh Preston Cross Hotel in the leafy country town of Bookham, Surrey.
After getting the group shots and some more posed couple pics out the way it was on to the wedding breakfast and speeches with a Portuguese flavour with random members of the dinner party getting up to toast and congratulate the couple which really added to the atmosphere.
Once the food and speeches were put to one side, the DJ arrived and the real party began, carrying on into the early hours of the morning capping an absolutely amazing day.
It’s so great to see the change in them as a couple and also the kids since they made the decision to get hitched, there’s much more of an air security about them and awesome to finally be able to officially call Edgar my brother.
